... and come what may, ... did.

Though they guarded the tomb, set a seal on the stone,

It wasn't enough, for an Angel alone,

Whose appearance like lighting and clothes white as snow,

With earthquake and power moved that stone, don't ya know.

And then with a plop, promptly sat on the top.

The guards shook with fear and fell as men dead,

'Til the women came by, then they slunk off instead.

Back to their bosses, who bribed them to say,

'As we slept, his disciples came and took him away'.

But Mary times two, who came to anoint,

We're told by an Angel, straight to the point,

You won't find the living here with the dead,

So go tell the gang, 'he has risen' instead.

But the men being men, didn't believe what they said,

So, they ran to the tomb thinking he was still dead.

But no, in the tomb, folded grave cloths still lay.

He was gone,  RISEN,  GONE;

So, 'come what may'  came ....

Now, Mary saw him first, and then disciples too,

Doubting Thomas next, and to Emmaus, there were two,

And for a full forty days he appeared to all the crew,

And once, more than five hundred, all saw him risen too.

He told them all to wait, until the spirit lit the flame,

And the church of Christ was born, and it still bears his name,

Cos, he ascended back to heaven, and he sits with Dad again,

Until the new day dawn's and he's coming back to reign.

and come what may ... will come.
