Landed

Written during a plane trip to Poland in April 2005.

Delta shadow on the wings of this flight,

Sun at your back pours its radiant light.

Blue lagoon sky, bubble frames cotton white,

Immense is the breadth of this robe of delight.

Ever amazed at this world from on high,

Glimpses of snow fields and cities that lie,

Far beneath, where now man's creativities lie,

Breathtaking complexities, stream endlessly by.

I stare and I stare, every mile of the way,

These glimpses of heaven below me all lay.

Each moment a wonder of God to behold,

‘Til the world of reality is landed, and cold.
